Srinagar, Nov 19 (KNO): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, on Tuesday said the administration is committed to repairing and restoring heritage buildings and walls in the valley.
Speaking in Srinagar, during a special exhibition of rare archival documents, as inaugurated by the Div Com Kashmir, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), stressed the need to protect Kashmir’s rich architectural legacy.
“Our heritage buildings and walls represent the essence of our cultural history. Repairing these structures is not just about preservation but about celebrating our identity,” he said.
Addressing concerns about the upcoming winter season, he said the administration is well-prepared to handle any challenges.
“We are monitoring electricity production and distribution closely and are committed to maintaining seamless power and road connectivity during the winter,” he said. “We are on toes and will ensure smooth winter operations. There is no need to worry,” he added.
